What is life and living thing?

Really I got the same doubt when I was in 8th class . I really searched a lot regarding this question. I believe the leaving thing definition was given by us we humans . As we treat our self as living things but our basic structure is atom and molecules which we believe as non living beings how such different it is right .
By doing a lot of search I came to a conclusion that a living being is a structure made up of atoms and perform the chemical changes
