How (a+b)^2= a^2+b^2+2ab ?

Let us consider a plane area . In the shape of a square . The length of the square is (a+b) .
Then our job is now to find the area of the square . We have a formula that is to find the area of the square is S^2 .

Here S= (a+b)

(a+b)(a+b)= a^2+b^2+ab+ab

 From the square .  
(a+b)^2


By this we can know how we got the formula .

What is life and living thing?

Really I got the same doubt when I was in 8th class . I really searched a lot regarding this question. I believe the leaving thing definition was given by us we humans . As we treat our self as living things but our basic structure is atom and molecules which we believe as non living beings how such different it is right .
